چکیده

Quantum dot cellular automata is an emerging nanoelectronic computational architecture which has the potential of faster speed, smaller size and minimum power consumption compared to transistor-based technology. In QCA, binary information are encoded as electronic charge configuration of a cell. Fundamental unit in building of QCA circuit is a QCA cell. A QCA cell is an elementary building block which can be used to build basic gates and logic devices in QCA architecture. This paper presents the implementation of XOR and XNOR gates using QCA basic gates i.e. 3 input majority voter gate and inverter. Novel Defect Terminolgy Beside Evaluation And Design Fault Tolerant Logic Gates In Quantum-Dot Cellular Automata

Quantum dot Cellular Automata (QCA) is one of the important nano-level technologies for implementation of both combinational and sequential systems. QCA have the potential to achieve low power dissipation and operate high speed at THZ frequencies. However large probability of occurrence fabrication defects in QCA, is a fundamental challenge to use this emerging technology. Because of these vari...

A Customizable Quantum-Dot Cellular Automata Building Block for the Synthesis of Classical and Reversible Circuits

Quantum-dot cellular automata (QCA) are nanoscale digital logic constructs that use electrons in arrays of quantum dots to carry out binary operations. In this paper, a basic building block for QCA will be proposed. The proposed basic building block can be customized to implement classical gates, such as XOR and XNOR gates, and reversible gates, such as CNOT and Toffoli gates, with less cell co...

Realization of Energy Efficient Logic Circuits Using Adiabatic Technique

The Energy dissipation in conventional CMOS circuits can be minimized through adiabatic technique. By adiabatic technique dissipation in PMOS network can be minimized and some of energy stored at load capacitance can be recycled instead of dissipated as heat. But the adiabatic technique is highly dependent on parameter variation. The intension of the paper is to implement combinational and sequ...

On Fault-Tolerant Design of Exclusive-OR Gates in QCA

Design paradigms of logic circuits with Quantum-dot Cellular Automata (QCA) have been extensively studied in the recent past. Unfortunately, due to the lack of mature fabrication support, QCA-based circuits often suffer from various types of manufacturing defects and variations, and therefore, are unreliable and error-prone. QCA-based Exclusive-OR (XOR) gates are frequently used in the construc...
